Electrical engineers Jean Laverdière and Richard Chabot decided to merge their expertise in industrial automation. Génisys was born! The company quickly became renowned for its innovative solutions and uncompromising customer service.

A stroke of genius: Génisys added IT resources to its automation offering. The founders anticipated the convergence of the fields of electrical engineering and information technology, enabling the creation of unique, added-value solutions.

Octopus was deployed at one of Canada's largest printers and implemented across most of the company’s plants between 2004 and 2012. It is still in use and supported today.

Richard Chabot sold his share in the company. Two new shareholders joined Génisys: Frédéric Filion, in charge of the development of oil depot management systems (Kameleon), and David Quirion in the company’s IT division.

Génisys divested its Kameleon and Lynx divisions. Frédéric Filion and Martin Gagnon acquired the majority of these assets, while Génisys retained a minority share in the company. Jean Laverdière and David Quirion then became the two shareholders.

Génisys welcomed its next generation! Three new shareholders joined the ranks: Mathieu Castonguay (business development), Maxime Poulin (IT development), and Sébastien Rancourt (automation).
